Two Major Wins for Empower Wealth in the Australian Mortgage Awards 2023 

Empower Wealth is thrilled to announce that our mortgage broking team took out not one but two awards at the Australian Mortgage Awards 2023! 

Both the “Brokerage of the Year (>20 Staff)” and the top gong of the night recognising us as the best Mortgage brokering business in Australia – “Australian Brokerage of the Year” awards recognise the collective effort of our team and business, and were announced at a highly anticipated black-tie gala dinner at The Star Event Centre in Sydney on 13th October 2023. 

“I’ve had many proud moments leading the Empower Wealth Broking team for the last 4 years, but this is now my pinnacle. These awards are not just for the mortgage team, but our integrated business partners, and I sincerely thank everyone for their contribution,” said Ben Magnus, Head of Mortgage Broking. 

Nominations for these awards focused on achievements and results from the previous 12 months, and submissions were sent to an independent panel of judges – comprising mortgage industry leaders and senior representatives well respected within the industry. 

Brokerage Awards: BROKERAGE OF THE YEAR (>20 STAFF) 

This award recognises the best brokerage operation with over 20 staff (or full-time equivalents). Nominees were judged on a number of criteria including client feedback and retention, loan volumes, and year over year growth. 

National Awards: AUSTRALIAN BROKERAGE OF THE YEAR 

This award recognises the most outstanding brokerage operation in Australia, and was not open for nominations. Winners were picked from the 6 Brokerage of the Year winners: 

• Brokerage of the Year (1-5 staff) 
• Brokerage of the Year (6-20 staff) 
• Brokerage of the Year (Over 20 staff) 
• Brokerage of the Year – Diversification 
• Brokerage of the Year – Regional 
• New Brokerage of the Year 

They were judged on a number of criteria including loan volumes, year over year growth, lead generation, client retention, quality of submissions, customer service proposition, and broker training and development.
