Leah’s Story

We kind of went in at the start, thinking, we might rentvest. So, buy something and then sort of rent in an area that’s kind of more suitable to our lifestyle and we said, “Oh, well, we can’t afford to buy in a nice area in Melbourne because it’s so expensive!”

And then when we had the first session with Joel, that’s when he was like, “Well, actually, you could actually buy something in Melbourne.”

Which was very eye-opening to us because we were kind of set on no, no, no, we’re going to rent, this kind of thing. Which was one of the first positives that came from it. We’re like, okay, that’s a game changer.

So we decided once we had the initial consult with Joel, we said, “Yeah, we’d rather just get the whole full Plan.” Because it really just kind of maps out your whole future basically, and aligns with what your future goals are and then just this roadmap on how you can achieve that.

It’s quite cool because it’s… All that’s input into that is all your data, everything that we’ve basically told you guys in our various chats.

So you’re like, oh, it’s actually really achievable!

Now that we’re in the house that we’ve bought, we settled in and then went back, and we’re like, okay, what does the plan say? Had a look at the plan and be like, okay, how are we sort of tracking to that? Okay, now let’s plan for the next… make sure we’re staying on track.

We honestly just found the whole process really fun as well. It was quite a fun and exciting process, but also just a really, really easy and helpful process to help us get to where we are now.

We often say we probably wouldn’t have bought the home that we have now or be in the area that we are now if we had tried to do this alone.

I think we’ve had the opportunity to work with a number of the teams at Empower Wealth. I think our experience with all the different teams has just been the same. It’s just been really, really great.

Always willing to answer our questions and help out. I think it’s definitely a group of people who love doing what they do. I think that’s very clear.
