Max Mikkola

Max has joined Empower Wealth in the Mortgage Broking Department as a Customer Relationship Officer. Max brings an abundance of experience through his sporting & professional endeavours and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce.

Originally born in Finland, Max moved with his family to Brisbane, Australia, for a few years before migrating to Dubai for most of his formative years. He finished Year 11 and 12 back in Brisbane prior to being presented with the opportunity to play professional football overseas in Spain and later, America. Covid brought Max back to Australia in late 2021, where he accepted a role in the mining industry while continuing to pursue his passion for football.

Finance has always been a burning passion for Max. Having grown up in a multitude of environments, he was continually exposed to individuals who preached about the importance of financial freedom and how to obtain it. Max began investing at the ripe age of 17, drawing inspiration from finance luminaries such as George Soros and Stanley Druckenmiller. His interest in real estate comes from his godfather, a renowned European property developer, who played a pivotal role in guiding Max towards a career in the field. Max resonates deeply with Empower Wealth’s ethos and mission to assist people in reaching their full financial potential.

Outside of work, Max currently plays football for South Melbourne FC and trains most mornings before work. He also enjoys reading, watching pretty much any sport, and travelling; he has just passed 60 countries visited!
