Mark Hewitt

Mark Hewitt brings more than 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, with deep expertise across broker distribution, partnerships, and industry reform. He is currently the General Manager of Industry & Partnership Development at Australian Finance Group (AFG), one of Australia’s leading mortgage aggregators, where he has been a member of the Executive Team since 2006.

Prior to joining AFG, Mark spent two decades with ANZ, including four years as National Manager for Third-Party Distribution, where he managed key broker relationships and helped shape ANZ’s broker engagement strategy. A respected industry leader, he previously served as Co-Chair of the Combined Industry Forum (CIF), playing a central role in advancing transparency and professionalism within Australia’s mortgage broking sector.

Mark’s broad skill set spans operations, relationship and stakeholder management, communications, credit and asset finance, sales leadership, and regulator engagement. His leadership and industry contribution have been recognised globally, with inclusion in the MPA Global Mortgage 100 lists for both 2020 and 2021.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Charles Sturt University and currently serves as a Director of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
