Harley Giddings

Harley has joined Empower Wealth in the Mortgage Broking department in the role of Customer Relationship Officer.  He brings a wealth of recent banking experience to his current position, having previously served at National Australia Bank. Presently, he is actively seeking to broaden his knowledge and skills by pursuing a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking.

Born and raised in Woodend, a regional Victorian town, Harley’s formative years revolved around the local football scene, where he continues to compete at the senior level for his hometown club. Despite his modest self-assessment of lacking exceptional talent, his unwavering dedication to the sport remains evident.

From a young age, Harley has displayed a keen interest in financial matters, skilfully juggling multiple jobs to finance his investments. He attributes his early grasp of financial literacy to his avid consumption of books and podcasts on finance and self-development. Understanding the long-term impact of compound interest and the value of delayed gratification has proven invaluable in his personal journey toward financial freedom.

An avid listener of the Property Couch, Harley eagerly anticipates the release of each new episode, often tuning in during his gym sessions or daily commute. Recently, he reached a significant milestone by purchasing his first investment property at the remarkable age of 22. Currently, he is actively engaged in the process of acquiring his second property before turning 23.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Harley remains a passionate sports enthusiast. As a devoted Essendon fan, he has faithfully supported the team despite their ongoing struggles in winning a final. With an impressive knowledge of American sports, he is particularly enamoured with basketball and staunchly considers LeBron James as the undisputed greatest of all time.
