Hannah Chen

Hannah is the Financial Accountant at Empower Wealth. She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and Master of Commerce (Dean’s List) and has worked in various industries in both Financial Accountant and Financial Manager positions, both in Australia and overseas.

Hannah started her career as an Executive Assistant before progressing to Administrative Accountant in a leading consultancy company based in the US, through these roles she accumulated adequate customer service experience and large group operational knowledge. Strong computer software knowledge facilitated her to build up extensive skills in financial/accounting ERP system. She involved in the group financial ERP system development project liaised with external professional teams, contributing to a smooth corporate financial workflow upgrade.

Realising her career development needs, Hannah went back to university and completed her master’s degree majoring in Accounting and Finance, being listed on the Dean’s list for continuous two years; and graduated with Distinction in 2008.

Before joining Empower Wealth, Hannah worked as Financial Accountant in one of Australia’s largest waste resource and infrastructure management groups, taking on the group and divisions’ overall accounting books, consolidating and financial reporting duties. Fast-paced and low-error-tolerance working environment enabled her to work under pressure and against deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

Hannah is also an accredited pre-service mathematics and high school Mandarin teacher through the NSW Education Department. She enjoys working with children and mathematics and has been teaching at Saturday School for more than 6 years. Hannah is now undertaking a CPA accreditation course to achieve higher-level credentials in the financial services industry.
