Bede Taylor

Bede is a Mortgage Lending Advisor at Empower Wealth with over 20 years of experience in mortgage advisory. He holds a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) and a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

Born in Melbourne to a large family, Bede then grew up in Sydney and more recently spent 12 years in Newcastle before moving back to Melbourne, which he now calls home. He grew up with a family of home renovators and has enjoyed success developing his own property investment portfolio over the years. Having a keen interest in art and architecture, Bede particularly enjoys the satisfaction of refurbishing homes with modern conveniences, whilst retaining their own period charm, whether it’s a federation home from the turn of the century or 1950’s post war modern.

With a background in banking and financial services, Bede has received training and experience with respected institutions including Macquarie Bank and NAB, working closely with financial planning networks to provide complimentary mortgage broking services tailored to individual client circumstances. He has built strong relationships from this work and is proud of the long term client associations he enjoys as a result.

Bede is passionate about helping individuals to make informed decisions, ensuring their financial security and peace of mind. He finds nothing more satisfying than seeing his clients’ asset position and financial security grow over time.

In his spare time, Bede loves nothing more than to spend quality time with his wife Karine, and his extended family, tinkering with old cars, as well as exploring domestic and international travel destinations.
