Mathew is a Mortgage Lending Advisor at Empower Wealth and holds a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, a Bachelor of Commerce and has been in the mortgage industry since 2016.

Mathew has been fascinated with lending since identifying its importance in long term wealth creation. This passion was further developed throughout his career where he has held a variety of roles covering the end to end mortgage process at both medium and large firms. Mathew has had exposure to an extensive list of lending strategies ranging from specialist lending to Investment savvy lending, having worked with a vast array of different scenarios and circumstances he has built a strong foundation in complex lending structures, strategies and processes.

When asked about this, he said ‘finding professional and independent advice can be a tiresome process and often doesn’t encompass a holistic approach which incorporates long term planning of individual goals and money management practices and investment strategies to meet them’. This led him to Empower Wealth which aligned strongly to his own core values.

Outside of work, Mat enjoys riding bikes, playing basketball, reading, hiking and the odd poker tournament.
