Yaren Sozer

Yaren has joined Empower Wealth in the Mortgage Broking department as a Customer Relationship Officer. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at La Trobe University, with a focus on Investment Management, Yaren is driven to excel in the finance industry.

Originally from Melbourne, Yaren graduated from Melbourne Grammar School on scholarship in 2014. Prior to transitioning to finance, he has enjoyed a successful professional soccer career, competing in Turkey, Malaysia, Malta, and the A-League in Australia. Notable among his achievements is winning the Isuzu Ute A-League Grand Final with Central Coast Mariners in 2022-23.

Returning to Melbourne in 2024, Yaren decided to channel his passion for discipline and goal-oriented mindset into the corporate world, aiming to assist clients in achieving their financial objectives. He sees Empower Wealth as the ideal platform to fulfill his aspiration of helping individuals secure financial freedom, drawing from his own experience as a property owner and investor.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Yaren is an avid golfer, you can find him on the golf course 3-putting whilst still claiming an outrageously low handicap.  Additionally, he is a devoted supporter of the Collingwood football club in the AFL, showcasing his unwavering passion for sports.
