Royce Huang

Royce is an accomplished big four trained CFO/ General Manager with 15+ years’ experience in managing entrepreneurial organisations through both strong growth and downturn.

Royce joined The Empower Wealth Group in November 2020 and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. As Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, he works closely with the Managing Director and Executive Team to drive financial strategy, corporate governance, and sustainable growth across the group.

In his capacity as CFO, Royce provides strategic financial leadership and operational oversight. He is responsible for ensuring robust financial systems, disciplined budgeting, commercial reporting, and statutory compliance. Royce works with the broader leadership team to implement sound financial strategies and disciplines that support the long-term success of the business.

As Company Secretary, Royce manages corporate governance obligations, ensures compliance with ASIC requirements, and oversees shareholder and investor relations. He plays a vital role in maintaining the company’s statutory integrity and supports the Board and executive team in meeting governance standards.
Royce also oversees the Financial Planning Division, where he plays a hands-on role in managing business operations, developing and implementing growth strategies, evaluating performance, and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Royce has deep expertise in M&A, capital raising, ASX reporting, ERP system implementation, and IPO readiness. Since 2007, he has played a key role in managing 16 business acquisitions—including 11 in Australia and 5 internationally.

Before joining Empower, Royce held senior financial leadership roles for more than 20 years in both private and publicly listed multinational companies across sectors including waste management, infrastructure, agriculture, mining, SaaS/telco, media, and accounting practice. From 2013 to 2020, he was Group CFO and Divisional General Manager at United Resource Management Group, one of the largest privately-owned waste and infrastructure management companies operating across Australia and the UK. Prior to that, he served as Regional Finance Director for the Cloud Services Division of NTT Group (NYSE/TSE: NTT) from 2010 to 2013. Between 2007 and 2010, he held the role of Group Finance Manager at Q Ltd (ASX: QXQ), where he was responsible for group reporting, budgeting, and ASX compliance functions.

Royce is a Fellow of CPA Australia. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) qualification.
