Renate has joined Empower Wealth as a Customer Relationship Officer in the Mortgage Broking team. With a strong interest in finance, property, and client service, Renate aspires to become a successful mortgage broker and is eager to support clients in making some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

Originally from Canberra, she moved to Melbourne in 2025 after graduating high school in 2024 and is pursing a Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. During her studies she has discovered a deep passion for finance and the value of working closely with clients to help them achieve financial clarity and home ownership.

From a young age, Renate had a strong interest in business and mathematics, which she explored while working part-time in retail. During Year 11 when she moved houses—an experience that opened her eyes to a fascination she has for property, from comparing properties and prices to understanding what makes a good investment. This led her to gain work experience in the real estate sector in Year 12, and later worked as a casual with a Real Estate firm to develop her knowledge while completing Year 12

She is working towards a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking and is committed to building a career that blends her strengths, communication skills, and desire to help others achieve long-term financial security.

In her spare time, she enjoys studying, spending time with her church community, participating in Christian Union events with other young adults at university and working as a casual Retail employee.

We've lost count of how many times we've worked with Melissa Long over the years, and every experience has been fantastic.
