Michael Givoni

Michael Givoni is an experienced Chair, Director, and executive leader with an extensive background guiding privately owned and family enterprises through growth, succession, and governance transformation. Drawing on his foundation in law and economics, he combines strategic insight with hands-on commercial experience to help organisations strengthen leadership capability and achieve sustainable success.

Michael has chaired and advised a diverse portfolio of Australian businesses, including Cater Care Pty Ltd, Winslow Group of Companies, Dutt Transport Pty Ltd, Maltra Foods Pty Ltd, First5 Group Pty Ltd, and RSEA Pty Ltd. In these roles, he has mentored executives and founders, overseen intergenerational transitions, and guided management buyouts and private-equity transactions. His approach emphasises sound governance, leadership development, and a long-term view of business performance.

Before his board career, Michael spent more than a decade at Spotless Group Limited, holding senior leadership roles including Executive Director and Group General Manager – Strategy & Development, General Counsel & Company Secretary, and National General Manager of Spotless Catering. He began his career as a Partner at Wisewoulds, where he developed his deep understanding of corporate law and strategic negotiation.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, an MBA from the University of Melbourne’s Graduate School of Management, and is a graduate of Leadership Victoria.

As a member of Empower Wealth’s Advisory Board, Michael brings deep governance expertise, leadership mentorship, and a focus on supporting founder-led businesses. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, sport, and spending time with family.
