Although we are long time property couch listeners and have purchased multiple properties over the years, this was our first time enlisting a buyers agent to help because well, we are diy folk and stingey when it comes to paying for anything we believe we can do ourselves. This purchase was going to be an owner occ purchase however and the brief we gave poor Shane was complex because while we had some flexibility on specifics like location, land size, bedrooms we were looking for a renovator with ‘soul’ and ‘we’d just know it when we saw it’. So when that time came, we needed Shane to give us the best chance to nail the purchase. But we benefited so much more than that from having Shane in our corner than just the last negotiation phase (which he executed brilliantly). Working with Shane brought us: -comfort that we weren’t going to miss out on any off market opportunities, -reassurance to have his independent eyes run over any short listed properties (I have a tendency to see potential in any kind of lemon) -less stress because Shane coordinated the pest and building inspection with the builder and selling agent -seamless communication with our broker (also empower wealth) to give confidence in negotiations -comfort knowing that we weren’t going to make a big mistake in any part of the process or over pay at the last hurdle and that we could just concentrate on finding and falling in love with our next home. And the house we bought is literally our dream home. We are so excited. Shane is a professional and positive person that could get along with anyone from all walks of life. We miss him now that we’ve bought a place but i know we’ll work together again. Shane has been the missing ingredient in our property journey up till now

I recently purchased my first home with help from Shane Pope. This is the first time I've purchased property of any kind or employed the services of a buyers agent so I was entirely out of my element from the beginning. I initially went through the financial advice process with EW which was very helpful in giving me a starting point but I was still unsure of how to proceed. It wasn't until I started working with Shane that I began to feel good about the whole process. He provided very sound practical advice and gave me coaching and support on a personal level. He validated my concerns and stresses, reassuring me when I needed it, and went out of his way to make me feel in control and comfortable with my decision. A perfect example of this is when he agreed to meet me at Bunnings one day to help me choose paint colours. I have never had a home painted before, and initially didn't intend to buy a property that needed that kind of work. He identified a unique opportunity with a property that I would have otherwise passed on and I ended up purchasing it. This opportunity also brought new challenges however, and he went above and beyond to help alleviate that stress by walking me through the process of hiring painters, choosing colours etc. Sometimes it's the little things like this that make all the difference. I can't speak highly enough of Shane and if am fortunate enough to purchase another property in the future I will seeking his help again. A friend of mine met him on site one day too, and after seeing him at work he told me he'll also be seeking Shane's help when he's ready to purchase. 10/10.
