Barton is a Mortgage Lending Advisor at Empower Wealth and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance & Marketing and a Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Broking Management.

Originally from the Bellarine Peninsula, Barton grew up spending most of his spare time at the beach. Barton cut his long shaggy surfer hair and moved up to Melbourne in 2013 to start his career in finance as an assessor for a major bank. As someone who has always enjoyed mathematics, Barton thoroughly enjoyed his role as an assessor, as he found joy in the analysis which his role entailed. As Barton developed as an assessor it became evident that there were limitations on offering a restricted set of products as it seemed that many clients would fall through the cracks, which did not sit well.

Barton chose to step into the mortgage broking industry in 2017 to grow long term client relationships and to help his clients find suitable lending structures which aligned with their short- and long-term goals. Barton has developed into an investment savvy lending mortgage broker who has a passion for helping clients to meet their financial goals.

In his spare time Barton enjoys surfing, playing basketball and running.
