Karen started her foray into property investment at the age of 21 and in the years since she has accumulated quite a pool of knowledge as she renovated, flipped and developed a number of properties. Each investment has allowed her to experience different aspects of the buyer paradigm and has occurred during various life stages and market conditions.
Prior to becoming a buyer’s agent, Karen had a successful career in IT and on the business side of Management Consulting underpinned by qualifications in the field of IT and Management. But people and property are her first loves and she has not looked back since turning her passion into her career.
Karen attained a Master of Business (Property) graduating with Distinction, specialising in the areas of market and investment analysis, valuation and sustainability and soon after became a licensed Real Estate Agent. Stints on the “selling” side of the equation at some of Melbourne’s premium agencies gave her great insight into the processes of selling. But her passion for helping people had already identified a huge imbalance of power when it came to buyers making informed purchase decisions.
Hence her direction as a buyer’s agent was confirmed.
After many years working mostly in the inner east and bayside areas of Melbourne, Karen has found her niche at Empower Wealth. Karen enthusiastically shares her analysis of the extensive research available to Empower Wealth clients, and coupled with her extensive experience of buying property has helped many owner occupiers and investors make some of the biggest decisions of their lives to achieve their long term goals.
A tragic Saints supporter and foodie, in her spare time you will find Karen sampling the newest local café or restaurant or cooking up a paleo storm. She also is uber mum to her sporty daughter in between her own exercise sessions.
